Let me just say, purchasing someone's artwork and knowing you're helping support them... there is no feeling like it! It's a wonderful feeling, and you get to keep an awesome creation.
Personally, just looking at someones art kick starts the gears in my own brain. It helps get the energy flowing, and the mind working.
Being able to own that art, and see it every day on my wall? Even better.
I am so inspired by other artists I wanted to dedicate this journal to a couple artists that I have recently had the joy of buying art from.
He also has a site called Skaikure ([link]) where he sells his work. I must say, what this man concocts is absolutely crazy. Crazy awesome.
I purchased one of his pieces (it's 4 separate little drawings) and I love them! Unfortunately I can't post a thumbnail in my journal... but I highly recommend checking out his gallery!
I've also just requested a commission from him. I can't wait to show it off with the other drawings on my wall!
I find her art not only clever, but absolutely cute! If you're into the ridiculously adorable dark, you'll love her artwork. The first thing I ever purchased that was designed by her was a skeleton doll from Hot Topic.
The name of her little business? Cuddly Rigor Mortis. However, you can see on her site ([link]) that it's not just spooky little characters like the skeleton. She has a whole collection of adorable creatures! From pumpkins in need of some assistance ("Optometry" [link]), to marshmallows that just can't take it anymore ("No S'more" [link]). I consider her a creative genius, and her obvious attention to detail is stunning. ([link] is a perfect example!)
Now, I'll stop rambling. If I share anymore links I'll end up just posting their whole websites. x) Hehe.
I hope this helps inspire other artists to support other artists. I know a lot of it was rambling, but i just can't find the perfect way to convey how important it is to help each other out.
That is all!

(Still terrible at trying to make my journals look pretty... ughblah.)
